1.
Objectives
 |
The
objectives of the Japan Research and Development Center for Metals (JRCM) are
threefold:
- To conduct R&D relating
to the manufacture and use of metallic materials (metals, semimetals, and materials
that have these as a component)
- To promote metallic materials-related
industries by achieving new functionality, improving the quality and expanding
usage of metallic materials, and by encouraging innovation in manufacturing processes
- To contribute toward economic
growth and enhanced quality of life in Japan
The JRCM
is a forum that brings together both manufacturers and consumers of ferrous and
non-ferrous metals. In our role of moving the industry forward, and acting as
a catalyst in metallic materials development, we undertake a broad range of R&D
programs designed to match ongoing technological developments with market needs.
